Funeral ceremonies

Funeral ceremonies and the scattering of ashes at sea carried out with sensitivity and understanding. We hope we can find a magical place to respect your loved one’s wishes.

We receive a few requests to help during funeral ceremonies. We can provide a RIB boat to scatter ashes in local rivers or the sea.

Individual ceremonies to spread ashes are unlikely to pollute the water. Ashes themselves have little impact on water quality, but personal items and wreaths, which may contain plastic and metal parts, may cause harm to wildlife.

You need to carry out the ceremony with care. We can help you carry our funeral ceremonies with sensitivity, helping you with your plans of remembrance.

Scattering ashes

Review by Steve H from Lytham St Anne’s,

“This review is slightly out of the ordinary for Rib Ride but the end result is the same, a superb service.
We booked a charter to be able to scatter my late father’s ashes off Anglesey as he had wished. When we first saw the Ribride adventure trip adverts, we were a bit hesitant. However after talking to Tom, we were reassured that the trip would be undertaken with sensitivity.

On the day, which turned out to be pretty amazing for October, flat calm and very sunny, we met Charles, our skipper. He put us instantly at ease and was calmness and professionalism personified. He took us out to a spot which he described as ‘magical’ and he wasn’t wrong.

It was exactly the kind of spot that my Dad would have loved and left us with a fantastic memory which we will treasure. Charles made sure that we had plenty of time to say goodbye and soak up the atmosphere of this magical place, before taking us back to Menai Bridge.

As I mentioned that we would like to go for a meal at Dylan’s afterwards, Charles even took the time to book us in. All in all the day could not have been more perfect and we cannot thank Rib Ride and Charles in particular enough for a very special experience.”
